Who is this "Art Guy" of which you speak?
There are many things that have been said about The Art Guy. Some of them are even true.
His real name is Aaron Smith. No, not THAT Aaron Smith, the other one. No, the
, other one. Yeah, that one. We're not sure about him either.
He has a blog and podcast that he maintains at
, where he rambles on about art, education, and technology.
He once planned on conquering a variety of third world countries, but his college roommate convinced him that was "thinking small." So instead, he teaches art & technology.
For 5 years he worked with K-6th graders in three different elementary schools. That's well over 2,000 students. We never said he was sane.
Now he teaches Computer Graphics at a Creative & Performing Arts magnet school.
He has a deep love of technology thanks to his half cybernetic brain ... er, no, scratch that ... thanks to his father buying an Apple II years and years ago. Apple Basic was fun.
He doesn't work for a living. You can't get paid to play with paint (or computers) and still call it work. (Unless you're from Payroll - in that case, he SUFFERS for his job! Give him a raise!) :)
He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Technology.
He's happily married to Kelli, the most beautiful woman ever.
He's joined a few tech-ed groups, including, the
Discovery Educator Network
